LORAIN COUNTY. We apologize but due to gas prices we had to cut down the size of our local area.
TRAVEL CHARGE:
We are Licensed to perform Wedding Ceremonies in All 88 Counties of Ohio. However, If you are out of our
Local Service Area, we apply a Travel Charge. Travel charge consists of mileage and overnight
accommodations if necessary. Please call us for a Price. You just might be pleasantly surprised!
Short & Sweet: MINISTER performs STANDARD CEREMONY ONLY
(nothing added, additions equal custom ceremony),
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT OUR RATES: We do not charge like other Ministers.
The following is included when you choose Minister Performing Custom Ceremony:
1. Customized Wedding Ceremony..
2. Our Honorarium (Fee) is not based on the size of your guest list or bridal party.
3. As Many phone calls, email's, needed to ensure the wedding ceremony you want.
4. One meeting with Wedding Minister / Wedding Officiant to discuss your ceremony if you choose.
PREPARING YOUR CEREMONY
We will customize your ceremony to your needs and requests. When booking with us we will provide you
with materials to assist in customizing and personalizing your wedding ceremony. This will help you decide
what you want in your ceremony. If you want something in your ceremony and do not see it, just ask! We
have loads of resources. We accomplish writing your wedding ceremony via email (we save all
correspondence), one meeting, and telephone conversations. We will schedule one meeting free of charge
so you may meet with one of our Wedding Ministers / Wedding Officiants, in person to discuss him/her
performing your wedding ceremony. You will be provided with a final copy of your ceremony for your final
approval.
Customization is NOT included in the Minister performing a Standard Ceremony.
REHEARSAL or NO REHEARSAL?
WE DIRECT AND CHOREOGRAPH ALL REHEARSALS FOR OUR COUPLES. Each couples wedding party
is different. If you have a wedding planner you must have a rehearsal! Sorry, your planner does not
perform the wedding ceremony and she has no idea of how Elyria Wedding Minister handles different
situations. We are not able to ensure a smooth ceremony for some weddings without a rehearsal. For
instance: Everyone knowing where to stand, when to walk, when to answer, who walks with whom, who does
what during the ceremony, what to do with sand vessel, who will take charge of vessel, optimal photo's and
many more details you couples don't often realize. We will gladly discuss your situation with you.
CEREMONY INFORMATION
When we book your ceremony we would like you to provide us with the actual time our Minister will start the
ceremony. We will arrive the day of your wedding 10 - 15 minutes early to coordinate any last minute details
(with florist, person video taping wedding, photography, etc.)
WHEN YOU GIVE US YOUR CEREMONY TIME, WE NEED THE ACTUAL TIME
YOUR CEREMONY WILL BEGIN.
For example: Bride said her ceremony start time was 2pm. The Minister arrived at 1:45 pm to check on
Bride & Groom then start the wedding at 2pm. Upon arrival, the Minister is told that Bride is not there and will
not be there until just before 3pm when the ceremony will begin. Bride was worried and wanted to make
sure everyone was there in plenty of time. We will not tolerate this!
We schedule our Minister's, and allow for travel time allowances. If our minister arrives and has to
wait for the ceremony to begin, We will charge an additional $25.00 fee per every 15 minute increment
beyond 15 minutes after your agreed upon start time. Example: Your ceremony is scheduled to start 2
pm. Your Ceremony doesn't start till 2:35 you owe the minister an extra $25.
IF WE HAVE ANOTHER WEDDING TO PERFORM AFTER YOURS, AND YOUR CEREMONY BEGINS
LATE, Due to your circumstances (above example or someone isn't there, etc.) and the Minister has another
couple's wedding ceremony to perform. Your ceremony will be shortened or have to be rescheduled for a
time slot later that same day. WE WILL NOT BE LATE FOR ANOTHER COUPLES WEDDING! NO
EXCEPTIONS.
HOLDING YOUR WEDDING DATE AND REHEARSAL DATE
When a couple inquires about an available date, we will temporarily pencil you in for 5 business days.
During that 5 day period we must receive a Nonrefundable Deposit or have a scheduled meeting. If neither
of these occurs the date in question becomes available to anyone.
MEETINGS
If you would like to meet with the minister we are more than happy to do so. Upon completion of the meeting,
if you have not made your deposit, the date and time you have chosen for your wedding is open to anyone.
DEPOSIT & FILING LICENSE
WE ONLY ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS, WHEN MAKING YOUR DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL ONLY!!! NO
EXCEPTIONS!!!
We require a Non-Refundable Deposit of to reserve your Date and Time, for Minister and/or Photography.
DEPOSIT is payable in:
You do not have to set up an account with Paypal in order to use it to make your deposit. There is no
charge to you for using Paypal.
Your Final Balance is Due the Day of Your Wedding, when the Minister Arrives.
Upon Ministers arrival he/she should be presented with marriage license and final payment in cash or money
order only! We do not except checks the day of your wedding! NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Unfortunately, this is due to some circumstances in the past. Therefore, Thank You for taking care of this
before wedding is performed.
ALL RETURNED PAYPAL OR PERSONAL CHECK PAYMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO $50 NON-SUFFICIENT
FUNDS CHARGE PLUS ANY OTHER CHARGES INCURRED BY US.
Licenses will be filed at the appropriate probate court with in 30 Days per Ohio Law.
Unless prior arrangements have been made.
CANCELLATION RESCHEDULE POLICY
CANCELLATION OF WEDDING OR REHEARSAL
If you schedule a minister to perform your wedding and rehearsal (Ohio Clergy Services - Elyria Wedding
Minister) you have committed to paying for Minister for scheduled service(s). The minister is then scheduled
for your wedding and/or rehearsal and unavailable to perform any services for any other couples. If you
cancel your wedding ceremony and/or rehearsal with Ohio Clergy Services /Elyria Wedding Minister, a
refund minus the non-refundable deposit will be issued: ONLY IF CANCELLATION IS RECEIVED 30 DAYS
PRIOR TO SCHEDULED REHEARSAL DATE.
We Reserve the Right to Refuse to perform any ceremony if it is going to compromise our
integrity, ethics, quality of our performance, or if Bride or Groom are under the influence of
alcohol or controlled substances of any kind - we have a zero tolerance policy. This is a
important event in your life. We will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior from the wedding
party. We will not be held financially liable for your loss specifically, any deposits or fees you
have paid or will pay to vendors providing services on your wedding day, when refusing to
perform a ceremony due to the above listed reasons.
FYI
We would like to let all of our Brides and Grooms know that if for any reason the Minister
Scheduled to perform your ceremony is unable to do so, Rev. Gillian or one of our other
Ministers will perform your ceremony. We do this because we will not be at fault for canceling
anyone's wedding. A great deal of time and expense has gone into planning your wedding, we
are not going to reimburse anyone for wedding costs they have incurred. This is our policy and
we will not deviate from that policy.
